I have found working with Asset Edge to be a great benefit to myself and Murrumbidgee Shire Council. When we carry out our asset inspection program we have been using Reflect to record our inspections, defects and repairs on our state roads as well as on local roads, footpaths and levee bank. With the reflect program being flexible Asset Edge and MSC have been able to develop a database which records our noxious weed inspections and weed infestation and information. This allows council to map out weed infestations and record what action has been taken to comply with noxious weed control. Using the software for these different inspection programs has helped the council have a well maintained defect register of its assets. We have found Asset edge to be very helpful and great to work with in developing the databases to suit the council’s needs and with any other problems we may incur.

Dungog Shire Council utilised the Recover android software to capture damage from the recent April 2015 storm. Council were very impressed with the quick response from your company’s Solutions Consultant Cindy McLucas in organising tablets and training to allow our staff to begin the extensive data capture process. Using this software on tablets or mobile phones was very easy, staff were able to navigate the software with a few hours training. The subsequent review of damage and costing of the remediation works was much easier than previous events where we relied on memories and a few photos to determine the damage cost. I would recommend this package to other Council’s prior to the next disaster event to allow quick responses and more accurate data pickup.

It has been awesome few weeks for us with the Recover software after you have made some changes to it…. Before Lyle was here this software was purchased but we never thought of using it….but now it’s all going great and the learning curve of this software going great as well. We as a council are always trying to get the maximum out of a software for us to do better jo . So you guys have been great at AE, Recover especially has been a great experience. Product is very good, particularly with managing maintenance on our State Road Network. It also proved very worth while after a flood where Council claimed for flood repairs under the natural disaster funding across our entire network. Asset Edge provides programs written to meet the needs of the people that use them. They can do this because they have ensured they possess a comprehensive knowledge base and skill set within their ranks, with staff experienced in both ‘in-the-field’ asset maintenance and data management and programming. Also, the interface is similar in each of their applications, meaning staff are able to move easily between programs without extensive training.

We have Control, Reflect.NET and Recover software packages. These programs have been largely beneficial to the Council, particularly Reflect.NET. expectations, always addressing issues (usually our fault) in a timely manner. Reflect.NET has greatly increased efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of our maintenance and monitoring of the Kamilaroi Highway. We are currently looking at implementing this program to our local roads and aerodrome, for further asset monitoring. Asset Edge's technical support has exceeded

The products are excellent. They allow full conformance for us in our compliance with requirements to RTA's RMCC, and Reflect is RTA’s preferred software package for asset inspections and accomplishments. With the RTA’s Vigil package, we are able to show conformance without the need to undertake time consuming and costly paperwork to prove that we are complying with the contract. We are in the process of implementing Control to allow us better tracking of staff accreditations and training. We also use Recover for our natural disaster recording – such as flood damage. The best feature of the Asset Edge packages is the comprehensive support of the Asset Edge staff, who are always available to assist and make changes when required.

Gosford Council have been using Reflect since 2001 for the management of the RTA SIM contract and more recently the RMCC. Reflect provides us with all the information needed to meet the RTA RMCC reporting requirements in an easy to access format. Council recently decided to incorporate our local road network into Reflect and are finding it to be of benefit in the recording of inspections, defects and accomplishments. I have always found the support of the software from the Asset Edge Support Team to be of the best quality. The annual user conference is also of benefit for the exchange of ideas and updates of the software.
